Maverick Biosciences builds customised supply chains for a range of valve manufacturers on market (such as Medtronic), and those entering human clinical trial phases. Supply chains are also in place for manufacturers of surgical patches, vascular grafts, collagen coatings, and other products.

Our yields often exceed that of usual device tissue exporters. Maverick is often utilised to support EU access of the finished device,  as a dual source, and disease risk management solution.

The quality systems in place and procurement approach at Maverick are pivotal in ensuring our clientele meet ISO 13485 compliance needs, and also EDQM and CE Mark certification.

Greater value is generated from our focus on:

• Yields of raw tissue units to completed device.
• Supremely defining and producing materials against specific product outcomes (e.g. thinner pericardium to support transcatheter valve developments, or researching viable carcass weights combined with considerable pre-selection processes to match the valve diameter needs of the client and their marketplace) and customising the supply chain to ensure present and future requirements are readily met.
• We make shipments daily of device tissues held to tight temperature parameters, meeting 48 hour timelines.  A range of validated shippers can be utilised or we of course match exact requirements as required.
• Animals we source from include, bovine, ovine, porcine, equine along with venison and others upon request.
